A legendary alliance

  • You both love loudly: grand gestures, big feelings and dramatic exits.
  • You agree on almost everything, so you will have to invent something to argue about.

The most dramatic pairing

The Storm Witch and The Rune Witch: 63%, sparks and shadows. You have little in common, which is exactly what keeps things interesting. One of you feels everything and the other thinks everything through: you balance each other or drive each other mad.

Witches in covens

The word coven owes its fame to Isobel Gowdie, a young woman from Auldearn in Scotland who in 1662 gave four long confessions describing witches who met in covens of thirteen. Nobody knows what became of her afterwards. The idea stuck, and modern witchcraft still uses the word for a group that practises together.

How the score works

Each of the 18 types has four traits: how much company it loves, how much it plans, how strongly it feels and how much it loves the old ways. Shared feelings count most, then shared traditions. One planner and one improviser make a good team, and every pair of creatures gets a small bonus or penalty of its own. The result is a match from 41 to 98 percent, and the same two types always get the same score. Test any two creatures.
